Introducing April Fool's Deviled Eggs: a whimsical twist on a classic treat! These sweet delights feature candy-coated eggs filled with lemon-flavored candy mixture and topped with red sanding sugar for a playful appearance. Serve them up on a platter for a delightful surprise that's perfect for April Fool's Day fun!
Instructions
Melt the white candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth.
Fill each cavity of the egg mold with the melted candy coating. Tap the mold on the work surface to smooth the coating and release air bubbles.
Place the mold in the freezer for about 20 minutes or until the candy eggs slide out easily. Invert the mold onto parchment paper to release the eggs, then place them back into the mold.
Melt the yellow candy coating following the same method. Once melted, add 4-5 drops of lemon oil and stir well. Fold in the lemon crunch until evenly distributed.
Spoon a teaspoon of the lemon mixture onto the top of each candy egg, resembling deviled yolks.
Immediately sprinkle red sanding sugar on top of the lemon mixture to mimic paprika.
Let the eggs harden completely.
Serve the April Fool's Deviled Eggs on a platter and enjoy the sweet surprise!
