Instructions
At least 24 hours ahead of time, wash a sheet of bubble wrap with soap and water. Allow to dry completely.
Lay out a large sheet of parchment paper onto the counter. If the white chocolate is in block form, chop the chocolate into uniform pieces. Place the white chocolate candy wafers or chopped chocolate into a microwave-safe bowl. Melt the chocolate using 20 second intervals, stirring in between to ensure the chocolate melts evenly and doesn’t scorch. Continue melting until the chocolate is fluid.
Once melted, add 1.5 teaspoons honey flavor. This will flavoring will cause the chocolate to thicken. Add 1/4 - 1/2 cup paramount crystals & stir.
Microwave this mixture for another 30 seconds. Stir to combine & microwave for another 15-20 seconds if needed. Make sure to not overheat this mixture- if it seems close to being completely smooth, do not heat anymore, just keep stirring.
Once thinned & smooth, add Colour Mill Caramel color & stir.
Pour this melted candy onto a piece of washed & dried bubble wrap.
Use an angled spatula to smooth the coating. Let this coating
set up slightly. Once set slightly, score 4 rows & allow the coating to fully set.
Instead of pulling the coating off of the bubble wrap, peel the bubble wrap away from the coating.
Once the coating has been removed, break apart into smaller pieces.
Apply gold jewel dust if desired.
Attach bee lay-ons using white coating melted in a tipless bag. (a candy writer would work great too)
Once all of the bees have been added, use black poppy paint & a small paint brush to add a dashed line behind each bee. Enjoy!
This bark can be kept at room temperature for several weeks. You can also make the bumble bee candy bark up to 4 months ahead of time if you freeze the bark. For best results, place the candy bark in a candy box that is lined with plastic wrap. Wrap the entire box with plastic wrap, and then a layer of foil. Place in the freezer for up to two months. Bring the chocolate to room temperature before unwrapping the box.
