Feel free to use milk or dark chocolate. We've used milk chocolate candy melts in this recipe for a delicious, easy-to-make recipe. If using real chocolate (ingredient list will list cocoa butter and/or cocoa liquor), then the chocolate should be tempered, or the bark will remain tacky or have streaks throughout. Instructions
Lay out a large sheet of parchment paper onto the counter. If the milk chocolate is in block form, chop the chocolate into uniform pieces. Place the white chocolate candy wafers or chopped chocolate into a microwave-safe bowl.
Melt the chocolate using 20 second intervals, stirring in between to ensure the chocolate melts evenly and doesn’t scorch. Continue melting until the chocolate is fluid.
Dip each peanut log into the melted chocolate, ensuring it's evenly coated.
Use a fork to lift the coated log out of the chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off.
Place the dipped log on a parchment paper to set.
Melt the dark chocolate using 20 second intervals, stirring in between to ensure the chocolate melts evenly and doesn’t scorch. Continue melting until the chocolate is fluid.
Pour the melted dark chocolate in a small tipless pastry bag.
Cut the bag and stripe the dipped logs with the dark chocolate.
Allow to set completely before serving or storing.
