Oreo, Toffee and Peanut Candy Bark Recipe

By combining chocolate, peanuts, pretzels, toffee crunch, Oreos, and a sprinkle of sea salt, you orchestrate a culinary masterpiece that delights the senses and awakens the palate.

We've used candy melts for this recipe. If using real white chocolate (ingredient list will list cocoa butter and/or cocoa liquor), then the chocolate should be tempered, or the bark will remain tacky or have streaks throughout. Click here to learn more about tempering chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Dark Chocolate
  • 1 cup Chopped Pretzels
  • 1cup Oreo Cookie Pieces
  • 1/3 cup Chopped Peanuts
  • 1/3 cup Toffee Crunch
  • 1 tsp Coarse Sea Salt
  • 1/2 pound White Chocolate

Instructions

Place a sheet of parchment paper on a cookie sheet. If the chocolate is in block form, chop the chocolate into uniform pieces. Place the chocolate candy wafers or chopped chocolate into a microwave-safe bowl.
Melt the dark chocolate melts in the microwave using 20 second intervals, stirring in between to ensure the chocolate melts evenly and doesn’t scorch. Continue melting until the chocolate is fluid.
Use a spatula and spread the melted chocolate as thin as possible on the parchment paper.
Immediately sprinkle pretzels, cookie pieces, peanuts & crunch over coating before it sets up. Sprinkle with sea salt.
Lightly press ingredients into candy coating to assure that it adheres to coating.
Melt the white chocolate melts in the microwave using 20 second intervals, stirring in between to ensure the chocolate melts evenly and doesn’t scorch. Continue melting until the chocolate is fluid.
Pour the white chocolate in a tipless bag. Drizzle the white chocolate over the bark.
Allow the candy to set at room temperature for several minutes. Use a pastry wheel, pizza cutter or dough cutter to score & cut through bark. When candy is completely set, break apart pieces.

How to Store Hoosier Bark

This bark can be kept at room temperature for two to three weeks in an airtight container. It is important the container is airtight to ensure the cookies and pretzels do not become stale.
