Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar on medium speed for 3 minutes until light and fluffy.
Add Egg and Vanilla: Scrape down the sides of the bowl and add the egg and vanilla extract. Beat until just incorporated.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until combined.
Prepare Dough: Transfer the dough onto a piece of parchment paper and knead it together. Press the dough into a flat log shape.
Color the Dough: Divide the dough into portions based on the number of colors you want. Use food gel colors to tint each portion of dough a different color.
Form Cookies: Use a cookie scoop to portion out the dough. Roll each portion into a ball and then roll the ball in King's Sugar Crystals.
Bake: Place the dough balls onto a baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 14 minutes, making sure the cookies do not brown on the edges.
Cool Cookies: Once baked, let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
