Instructions
Plaque Cookie:
Roll out fondant to an even thickness using pastry rulers.
Use the same cookie cutter used for the baked cookies to cut out fondant shapes.
Adhere the fondant to the surface of the cooled cookies using piping gel.
Attach a Christmas sugar layon to decorate the cookies.
Use snap-together letter embossers to stamp "You'll shoot your eye out" onto the fondant.
Outline the cookies with white medium soft royal icing and tip #4 for added definition and decoration.
Ralphie:
Use an edible food marker to draw the face shape onto the baked cookies.
Outline and flood the inner ears with dark pink flood icing. Use a scribe tool to shape and smooth the icing as needed.
Outline the entire edge of the cookie and the face using a light pink icing color.
Flood the costume part of the cookie with light pink icing. Allow it to set for about 20 minutes.
Outline and flood the lenses of the glasses with white icing.
Flood the face area with ivory icing. Set aside to dry for 20 minutes.
Pipe Ralphie's hair using yellow flood icing.
Outline his glasses and pipe his smile using medium soft black icing using tip #4.
Leave the cookies to dry overnight before serving or packaging.
Leg Lamp Cookie:
Outline and flood the lamp with yellow icing, creating the lampshade.
Outline and flood the leg with ivory icing. Allow it to set for about 20 minutes.
Pipe the fishnet tights onto the leg using black medium soft icing with tip #1.
Outline and flood the shoe using black icing.
Pipe the tassels on the lampshade using black icing.
Use dark yellow medium soft icing with tip #4 to pipe the fine details of the lampshade.
