Crispy Molded Turkeys with Mocha Chocolate
Creating a chocolate molded turkey is a fun and impressive way to add a sweet touch to your Thanksgiving celebration. These turkeys have trio crispies (a great substitute for hard-to-find tiny crisp rice) added to the back as they are setting. When bitten into, the rich flavors of mocha and chocolate are complimented with the crispiness of the tiny trio crispies.
Only four ingredients go into this simple Thanksgiving treat. Place a chocolate turkey at each place setting for a sweet touch, or send each guest home with a little bag of turkeys. No matter how you plan on serving, these delightful turkeys are sure to please.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Milk Chocolate Candy Coating
- 1 teaspoon Espresso Powder
- 15 drops Keoke Coffee Flavor
- 1 cup 3mm Trio Crispies
- Turkey Bite Size Candy Mold
Instructions
If the milk chocolate is in block form, chop the chocolate into uniform pieces. Place the chocolate candy wafers or chopped chocolate into a microwave-safe bowl. Melt the chocolate using 20 second intervals, stirring in between to ensure the chocolate melts evenly and doesn’t scorch. Continue melting until the chocolate is fluid. Pour the melted chocolate into a squeeze bottle. With the melted chocolate from the squeeze bottle, fill the candy mold nearly to top.
Immediately add the trio crispies.
Place in the freezer for 15 minutes until the candy feels cool and the mold is cloudy. Gently flex the mold above a towel to release the turkeys.
