Ingredients

  • Uniced baked cake (we used chocolate cake and black food color to make it black)
  • Buttercream icing (we used black buttercream)
  • White chocolate candy melts
  • 1 Tablespoon paramount crystals
  • White rolled fondant
  • Neon green food color
  • Red Poppy Paint
  • Black Poppy Paint

Instructions

Prepare your cake mix according to the package instructions. Once the cake has cooled completely, crumble it into fine crumbs in a large bowl.

Mix in your chosen frosting until the mixture is moist and holds together when squeezed.

Use a cookie scoop to get even size pops. Roll the scooped mixture into a ball and place on parchment to set.

Melt white chocolate candy coating with 1 tablespoon paramount crystals (add more crystals as needed). Dip the end of a sucker stick into the melted white chocolate, then insert into the rolled ball. Allow to set for 5-10 minutes.

Dip the cake pop in the melted white chocolate, then insert the stick into a styrofoam cake dummy. If using a darker cake, like chocolate, you may need to allow the dipped cake pop to set, then dip again to completely coat the pop.
