Instructions

Prepare Dough: Roll out your favorite sugar cookie dough to about 1/4 inch thickness using pastry rulers for precision. Use the Mix and Match Animal Cookie Cutter Set to cut out the two body styles (standing and sitting) and the heads of all the reindeer. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake according to your recipe instructions. Allow the cookies to cool completely.
Prepare Icing: In separate bowls, prepare flood royal icing in brown, black, and ivory colors. Start by outlining and flooding the inner ears of the reindeer cookies with ivory icing. Use a scribe tool to smooth out the icing for a neat finish. Next, outline and flood the reindeer's hooves with black icing, leaving them to crust over. Then, flood the remainder of the cookies with brown icing, ensuring full coverage. Allow the icing to dry overnight to ensure it sets properly.
Decorate Cookies:
Fine Details: Once the icing is completely dry, use a piping bag fitted with a small tip to pipe fine details and outlines onto the cookies, such as facial features.
Fondant Frames: Roll out white fondant and use the Isabella frame cutter set to cut out frames for each cookie. Allow the frames to dry overnight. Once dry, use a piping bag with medium-stiff royal icing to pipe antlers onto each frame. Let them dry completely.
Name Tags: Roll out white fondant and use the Nora frame cutter to cut out name tags for each reindeer. Use snap-together letters to emboss the name of each reindeer onto the tags .Use a piping tip to cut holes in the name tags for the string. Let them dry overnight. Once dry, use a paintbrush to apply silver luster dust mixed with grain alcohol to give them a metallic finish. Use an edible food marker to write the embossed names and outline the name tags.
Holly Leaves: Roll out green fondant and use holly plunger cutters to cut out holly leaves.
Assemble Cookies: Using stiff royal icing, glue the cookies together in pairs to create standing and sitting reindeer. Attach the fondant frames, name tags, and holly leaves using royal icing as glue. Use red medium-stiff royal icing to pipe berries onto the holly leaves and to create the red string for the name tags around the reindeer's neck.
Once assembled, your Santa's Reindeer Cookies are ready to impress and delight everyone at your holiday gathering!
