Instructions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare your pretzel webs.
For each web you make, you will use a total of 3 pretzel sticks-- 1 whole and 2 broken in half.
Set 1 whole pretzel stick down on the parchment paper, and then gently place 4 pretzel halves in an "X" pattern around it.
Repeat this step until you have your desired amount of webs built.
Place the chocolate melts into a microwave-safe bowl.
Melt the chocolate using 20 second intervals, stirring in between to ensure the chocolate melts evenly and doesn’t scorch. Continue melting until the chocolate is fluid.
Transfer the melted chocolate into a tipless bag or squeeze bottle.
If using a tipless bag, snip off the end of the bag using a pair of scissors. The hole needs to be decently big (smaller than a pencil eraser, but not by much) so your chocolate web is not too fragile.
Work on 1 spider web at a time.
Pipe a mound of chocolate into the center of your pretzel web to hold it together & add stability.
Pipe 3 rings of chocolate around the chocolate previously piped.
This step needs completed quickly as the chocolate will set up decently fast.
While the chocolate is still fluid, drag a toothpick or scribe through the chocolate. Start with your toothpick at the center of the web and drag towards the outside of the web.
Immediately, add a sprinkle mix onto the tacky chocolate.
If desired, add a candy spider to the center of the web. If the chocolate has hardened, dab on a small dot of chocolate to help it adhere.
Place the cookie sheet into the freezer for 10 minutes to set the chocolate.
Carefully peel off of the parchment paper. Repeat until desired number of chocolate spider webs have been made!
