We utilized candy clay to craft the undulating hills for our Winter Sledding Cupcakes. This pliable medium, formed by blending melted candy coating with corn syrup, provided the perfect texture for shaping snowy slopes.
Instructions
Make Chocolate Trees:
Melt green candy coating and pour it into a piping bag or squeeze bottle.
Place small pretzel sticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Zigzag the melted chocolate back and forth over the pretzel sticks to form trees, ensuring the base is larger than the top.
Form the Hill:
Use candy clay or fondant to sculpt a small hill.
Attach the hill to the cupcake with buttercream.
Cover with Snow:
Spread white buttercream over the cupcake and hill using an offset spatula.
Immediately sprinkle edible white glitter flakes over the buttercream to create a sparkly snow effect.
Add the Sled:
Bend one end of a stick of gum to form a sled and place it on the hill.
Position a chocolate tree next to the hill for added charm.
Decorate the Bear:
Use an edible black food marker to draw a face on a teddy graham.
Pipe blue buttercream onto the bear using a piping bag fitted with tip #2 to create a coat and hat.
Adorn the coat with blue nonpareil buttons and a blue sugar pearl for a pom-pom on the hat.
Attach the decorated bear to the gum sled using buttercream.
Enjoy creating these delightful Winter Sledding Hill Cupcakes, perfect for adding a touch of winter wonderland to any occasion!
