Instructions
Cut Out Flamingo Heads and Necks: Use a flamingo cookie cutter to cut out the heads and necks from your dough. Bake until golden brown and let them cool completely.
Dip in Pink Candy Coating: Melt pink candy coating and dip the cooled flamingo heads and necks into the coating. Set them aside to dry.
Add Black Candy Coating for Beak and Eye: Once the pink coating has set, dip the beak portion of the flamingo into black melted candy coating. Add a small drop of the black candy coating to create the eye. Allow it to dry.
Create Candy Leaves: Melt more pink candy coating and use it to fill the cavities of a leaf mold. Tap the mold gently to release any air bubbles, then place it in the freezer for about 15 minutes, or until the mold turns cloudy and the candy can be easily removed.
Pipe Buttercream: Pipe a large swirl of pink buttercream onto each cupcake.
Assemble the Cupcakes: Insert the flamingo heads into the buttercream and position the candy leaves on the sides to form the flamingo’s wings. Your Feathery Flamingo Cupcakes are now ready to be enjoyed!
