Instructions
Prepare Flamingo Heads:
Roll out your favorite cookie dough to about 1/4-inch thickness.
Use a flamingo cookie cutter to cut out 12 flamingo heads.
Bake according to your cookie recipe instructions and let cool completely.
Decorate Flamingo Heads:
Melt the pink candy coating according to the package instructions.
Dip each flamingo head into the pink candy coating, ensuring it’s fully covered.
Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let the coating set.
Once the pink coating is firm, melt the orange candy coating.
Dip the beak of each flamingo into the orange candy coating and allow it to set.
Use a black candy writer or black buttercream to pipe a small eye on each flamingo head.
Decorate Cupcakes:
Fill a piping bag with pink buttercream and fit it with a leaf piping tip.
Pipe a mound of leaves/feathers onto each cupcake, starting from the outer edge and working your way to the center.
Assemble the Cupcakes:
Once the flamingo heads are fully set, gently insert one into the center of each cupcake, nestling it among the buttercream feathers.
Serve and Enjoy:
Your Fluffy Flamingo Cupcakes are now ready to be served! Enjoy the delightful combination of fluffy cupcakes and sweet, decorative cookies.
