Ingredients

  • cake ball mixture
  • sucker sticks
  • lite cocoa candy coating
  • light brown rolled fondant
  • dark brown rolled fondant
  • piping gel
  • sharp knife

Instructions

For monkey: Roll mixture into a ball. Once you have your shape made, place them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm. Take stick and dip 1/2" of end of stick in melted candy coating and insert into shape. Allow to set then dip pop into the melted brown coating and tap off any excess coating. While still wet, insert candy wafers (that have ¼ removed in a half-moon shape) for the ears. Roll out light brown rolled fondant very thin and using a sharp knife trace out a facial pattern. Attach to dry candy coating using a small amount of piping gel. Use a small circle cutter to make inner ears; cutting out the sides to make a half-moon shape. Attach to candy wafer with piping gel. Use dark brown fondant to roll facial features and attach with piping gel.
For bananas: Shape cake ball mixture into a half moon shape; making one end with a pointed top. Once you have your shape made, place them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm. Take stick and dip 1/2" of end of stick in melted candy coating and insert into shape. Allow to set then dip pop into the melted yellow coating and tap off any excess coating. Once yellow coating is dry, dip both ends of the banana into the brown candy coating.
