Instructions

Mason Jar Cookie piped in navy blue royal icing, white splatter, fireflies made of candy pearls and flight patterns
Mason Jar Cookie:
Outline and flood the cookie: Using navy blue flood royal icing, pipe an outline around the edge of the mason jar cookie, then fill it in with more icing until the entire surface is covered.
Smooth and shape the icing: Utilize a scribe tool to gently smooth out the icing, ensuring it's evenly distributed and covering the cookie surface without any gaps or air bubbles. Leave to crust over.
Pipe the jar outline and rim: Using the same blue royal icing, carefully pipe the outline of the mason jar, as well as the rim around the mouth of the jar, creating a defined edge.
Leave to set up: Allow the icing to dry and form a crust, ensuring that the surface is firm enough to support additional decorations.
Create fireflies: Mix a few drops of yellow food coloring gel with sugar pearls until they are evenly coated. Spread them out on parchment paper to dry.
Attach fireflies: Once the icing on the jar has set, use a small amount of royal icing to attach the yellow sugar pearls to the surface, arranging them to resemble fireflies.
Pipe wings and flight pattern: Using soft peak black royal icing, pipe delicate wings for each firefly, then add whimsical flight patterns around them on the cookie surface.
Bon fire cookie decorated in royal icing with brown logs and yellow and orange flames.
Campfire Cookie:
Outline and shape logs: Use brown royal icing to outline and fill one or more logs on the cookie, shaping them to your desired size and position. Pipe a few ivory broken lines. Pull a scribe tool through the ivory to add texture and detail to the logs, such as bark lines and knots.
Outline and flood flame: Outline and flood the flame area with white royal icing, ensuring it is appropriately sized and positioned relative to the logs. Allow the white icing to harden.
Paint flame: In a paint palette, mix yellow and orange gel food color with grain alcohol to create a watercolor paint. Use a flat brush to apply the yellow paint to the flame, allowing it to dry briefly before adding orange accents to create depth and realism.
Pine Tree Cookie decorated with loops of green royal icing for the leaves
Pine Tree Cookie:
Pipe tree trunk: Using brown royal icing, pipe three vertical lines from the top to the bottom of the cookie to represent the tree trunk. Make sure the lines are evenly spaced and of consistent thickness.
Pipe greenery: With stiff green royal icing, pipe loops around each level of the tree trunk to create the branches and foliage of the pine tree. Vary the size and shape of the loops to add dimension and texture to the tree.
Bear face cookie in brown royal icing and with ivory icing dabbed all over face for a fur texture.
Bear Cookie:
Pipe inner ears: Using ivory flood royal icing, pipe the inner ears of the bear onto the cookie, shaping them to your desired size and position.
Outline and flood bear face: With brown royal icing, outline and flood the rest of the bear's face, ensuring a smooth and even layer of icing covers the surface.
Texture fur: Once the icing has hardened slightly, use a very small dab of flood ivory royal icing and a craft paintbrush to gently dab paint over the bear's face, creating a textured fur effect.
Detail muzzle: Outline and flood the bear's muzzle with ivory royal icing, allowing it to harden completely.
Pipe facial features: Using black royal icing, pipe the bear's eyes and nose onto the cookie, adding detail and expression to the face.
Plaque cookie with a roasted marshmallow on a stick
Roasted Marshmallow Plaque Cookie:
Outline and flood the cookie: Use flood icing in a wedgewood blue shade to outline and flood the cookie, creating a solid base for the marshmallow and stick. Let the surface crust over.
Pipe the stick: Using brown royal icing, pipe a stick onto the plaque cookie surface.
Pipe the marshmallow: Pipe a marshmallow shape with white royal icing over the stick. Use a scribe tool to smooth out any imperfections and leave it to dry completely.
Add color for roasting effect: Once dry, lightly brush dogwood color onto the marshmallow using a fine tip brush to give it a toasted appearance, mimicking the look of a roasted marshmallow.
Bonfire, fireflies in mason jar, pine tree, tee pee, bear face and rosted marshmallow on a stick plaque cookies.
Teepee Cookie:
Outline and flood the teepee cover: With wedgewood blue royal icing, outline and flood the teepee cover, ensuring a smooth and even layer of icing covers the entire surface.
Smooth and shape the icing: Use a scribe tool to smooth out the icing and shape it as needed, creating clean edges and a tidy surface.
Outline and detail the teepee: Pipe the outline of the teepee with navy blue flood icing, focusing on defining the bottom corners of the tent. Then, with brown icing, pipe the support poles on the top of the teepee.
Allow to dry: Leave the decorated cookie to dry overnight, ensuring that the icing sets completely before handling or packaging.
