  • Favorite Sugar Cookie Recipe or Whimsy Sugar Cookie Mix
  • Santa Face Cookie Cutter
  • Buttercream Icing
  • Food Colors (exact colors listed below)
  • Royal Icing Eyes - 3/8"
  • 4mm Pink Sugar Pearls
  • Tips #6, #18
  • Offset Frosting Spatulas

Instructions

Instructions for Santa Face Cookies:
Santa Cookie #1:
Smooth ivory or skin-toned buttercream over the face section of the Santa cookie using an offset spatula.
Place the icing eyes.
Use tip #6 to pipe Santa’s eyebrows and the brim of his hat.
Pipe the top of Santa’s hat in red buttercream using tip #6.
With tip #18 and white buttercream, pipe rosettes for Santa’s beard.
Use tip #18 to pipe his mustache.
Place a pink pearl for his nose.
Santa Cookie #2:
Smooth red buttercream over the hat section with an offset spatula.
Smooth ivory or skin-toned buttercream over the face section of the Santa cookie with an offset spatula.
Use white buttercream with tip #18 to pipe shells for Santa’s beard, about 2 rows.
Use the same tip to pipe his mustache.
Pipe the brim of his hat using tip #6. Alternatively, use tip #18 to pipe a zigzag for the brim of his hat.
